In order to obtain the first stage certificate under the ICAO TRAIN AIR PLUS program,  to assess the achieved level of flight personnel training, an ICAO inspection was conducted at the Aviation Training School of the State Service “Turkmenhowayollary”, with the participation of a foreign guest, from  14 to 17 April, 2025. Based on the results of the audit, the Aviation Training School successfully passed the inspection and received the first stage certificate under the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program.

From 13 to 23 October, 2025, the first training course under the ICAO TRAIN AIR PLUS program, TRAINING DEVELOP COURSE, was held. Several specialists from the State Service “Turkmenhowayollary”, Ashgabat International Airport, Turkmenistan Open Joint-Stock Company, as well as Aviation Training School, participated in the course. The aim of the course was to improve the qualifications of the State Service “Turkmenhowayollary”employees and bring them into compliance with international ICAO standards. The second training course under the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS programme, the TRAINING INSTRUCTOR COURSE, was held from 27 to 31 October 2025. Specialists from the State Service “Turkmenhowayollary” participated in the course. The main goal of the course was to obtain an international instructor certificate and subsequently the right to train foreign and the State Service “Turkmenhowayollary” civil aviation specialists.
